Some of the mishaps we cover:

  • Flat tire?  Even with today's improved tires, flats happen. If they do, Roadside Assistance will change the tire for you.
  • Dead battery? Even a good battery may die. If that happens, Roadside Assistance will give your vehicle the jump start it needs.
  • Locked out?  If the keys are in your vehicle and you're locked out, don't call a locksmith. Roadside Assistance gets you back inside.
  • Out of gas?  It can happen anytime. If it does, Roadside Assistance will bring you gas and get you on your way.
  • Need a tow? Towing for mechanical breakdown or collision recovery is as simple as calling Roadside Assistance.

AUDIO & ALARM SYSTEMS

  1. Audio/cassette/CD system working normally, CD cartridge present (if equipped)
  2. Antenna is present and functions properly
  3. Radio speakers do not rattle at high volume
  4. Remote entry system works properly (if equipped)
  5. Theft-deterrent system works properly (if equipped)

BATTERY SYSTEM

  1. Battery in good condition, has proper cold cranking amps and reserve capacity
  2. Battery proper size and secure
  3. Battery posts free of corrosion
  4. Cables in good condition

BRAKING SYSTEM

  1. Inspect brakes, calipers, lines and hoses
  2. No excessive vibration during braking
  3. ABS operates on "panic stop"
  4. Parking brake sets and holds vehicle
  5. Brake pads/shoes must have minimum of 50% wear remaining
  6. No excessive grooving or heat checking of rotors or drums
  7. Parking brake releases completely
  8. Brake pedal free play and travel is normal

EMISSIONS & STATE INSPECTION

  1. Perform emissions test and/or state inspection, if required

ENGINE COMPARTMENT

  1. Change engine oil and filter
  2. Check for evidence of sludge
  3. Inspect for fuel, oil, coolant or other fluid leaks

  7. Inspect struts/shocks for leaks and wear
  8. No damage to CV joints/boots

TRANSMISSION/TRANSAXLE

  1. Transmission/clutch operates smoothly
  2. Automatic transmission in "ECT" power mode shifts properly
  3. Transmission gear ranges engage promptly while shifting when warmed up
  4. Transmission shift lock and key interlock system OK
  5. Transmission does not shift into overdrive when button is in OFF position
  6. Inspect transmission case and pan for leaks
  7. No damage to drive and axle shafts

TRUNK COMPARTMENT & SPARE
